ERASMUS+KA2   FACE_IT

Our Colonial High School in Fuente Palmera is to be congratulase for receiving another Erasmus Plus Grant.

Our English teacher and Bilingualism & Language Immersion Coordinator, Inmaculada Guadix Montero, has been working via Skype with four other teachers from the European countries of Germany (Dinkelsbühl), Netherlands (Eindhoven), Poland (Kluczbork) and Greece (Lechaina) over this last academic year; teachers she has met during her Erasmus Plus KA1 “Colonial High School Opening Doors to Europe” mobility programme at Cambridge university to study Contemporary English.

This 21 month KA2 New Project, which was finally applied in Germany, is called “FACE_IT”, which stands for Fun And Curriculum Oriented. FACE_IT is aimed at working cooperatively to create a Bilingual App, Spanish/ English, so that our students can study while playing with educational content quizzes.

Our first step is to analyse the different Curricula to understand which subjects we have in common and which content is suitable fo working together. This group of five teachers will continue working during their summer holidays via Skype to be more efficient on their First Face-to-face Transnational Meeting which will take in mid-September 2017 in Poland.

In the coming months and during the next academic year 2018/2019 many international activities will be held with these four European Schools to entable students and teachers from our Colonial School to visit these four schools for a week. The Colonial High School will be hosting all the active participants from the four countries by early May 2018. To cover all the participants expenses FACE_IT has been funded with €11.370 , from which Colonial School will receive €22.080 .

The five School project members will welcome this news with enthusiasm, due to the hard work this kind of project requires, it is an unbeatable opportunity to create bonds and cooperative work and to learn whilst using English as a tool.

And Curriculum oriented Exercises for Information Technology.

OUR PROJECT

FACE_IT conveys a play on word with its initials meaning Fun And Curriculum oriented Exercices for Information Technology.

Our aim is therefore to analyse the curricula from our 5 European countries and to create an App with our students for them the play and study their curricular content.

NUESTRO PROJECTO
